Nothing much has changed on the war front. It’s only now that the media shove it in our faces daily that we can’t get away from it. And knowing which parts are true?
Your A-Z has been interesting reading. I didn’t get to all of them but those I did were great memories of your time back then.
Thanks Jenny, there's always so much to keep up with these days. yes the war reporting is endless and depressing too, unfortunately every decade has different disputes and wars.
People forget what it was like in the 70s and 80s, thinking nowadays the world is war-torn and scary. But it is no worse now than in those days and flying has become a lot safer. This was a good reminder of that. A really great A-Z series, thank you.
Thanks for reading and commenting too. Thank goodness we were young enough to take it all in and not be too worried at the time. Each decade has its moments!
Having read from A - Y at 'Earlier Years', I can see what an interesting year it must have been but this 'Y' post certainly puts it into perspective. You are braver than I am Carmel!
Ah, we were young and like many in their twenties probably thought we were invincible. Thanks for reading and commenting too. It has been a good exercise recalling those days.
