Genealogy Matters Tuesday Challenge Obituary observation

Sometimes the only record we find about a person is an obituary or indeed a memorial notice. Such was the case with Catherine O’Neill where her daughter Bridget posted a newspaper notice one year after her death.

This led me to find her on a passenger list travelling to South Australia aboard the Ashmore in 1884.
